The infamous Johnny Depp v Amber Heard defamation trial spoke volumes across many social media platforms. Fans and avid watchers watched closely as justice was delivered. At the time the verdict was delivered, Johnny (59) was in the United Kingdom. The jury were in favor of him awarding $15 million in damages. Amber (36) was awarded $2 million.
After the verdict, Amber Heard took to Twitter to share her feelings:
“The disappointment I feel today is beyond words. I’m heartbroken that the mountain of evidence still was not enough to stand up to the disproportionate power, influence and sway of my ex-husband….I’m sad I lost this case. But I am sadder still that I seem to have lost a right I thought I had as an American – to speak freely and openly.”

It is claimed that Amber may struggle to pay Johnny the compensatory damages. Amber’s net worth is estimated to be around $2.5 million, therefore, repaying Johnny can potentially make her bankrupt.

Well it appears Amber’s financial difficulty may be temporary and she will no longer need to be shopping in TJ Maxx. Amid the trial, it is claimed Amber has been offered a multi-million book deal.
