HOW TO TRIM A 45-MINUTE BEAUTY ROUTINE TO 10 MINUTES

It doesn’t take long to realise the morning is a stressful time of day, when working 9-5. The hustle and bustle gets overwhelming when you are running after the little ones or taking care of your pet. Whatever the reason is, there is always little time to get ready or feel presentable for the next 8 hours of the day at work.

We have created a hack that can help you trim a 45-minute beauty routine to just 10 minutes by using 3 products. Here they are:

  1. Concealer

Concealer is multi-purposeful and convenient. It has a knack for brightening under eyes as well as covering up dark circles. Concealer is also useful to revive your skin by hiding blemishes and pigmentation. It really is a magical wand! For directions on using this product within a time limit, we would recommend under your eyes to brighten/conceal and around face wherever there is a blemish to be covered. We also recommend concealer directly under the cheekbones (where you place blusher/bronzer), to create that illusionary snatched look.

2. Mascara

Mascara is a fantastic way to add definition to your eye and it is less time consuming than adding false lashes and/or eyeliner. It is easy to use for beginners and saves a lot of time in the morning as there is less risk of it smudging (for example with eyeliner mistakes can be easily when attempting to re-create the perfect winged liner) and you can apply it anywhere – at home, in traffic sitting in your car or even behind your desk!

For directions on using this product, we recommend applying mascara to the middle and very end of your lashes to help your lashes appear wispy. Also, applying mascara to your bottom lashes can create a dramatic look within seconds. (For a subtle yet dramatic look we recommend using a brown mascara for your bottom lashes)

3. Lipstick or Lip Balm

Your lips are important. They are the first thing people see when talking to you. Lipstick is a great way of adding colour to your face. It also has a good way of brightening your face and enhancing your eyes according to Marie Claire, which is why we love lipstick. Like the others mentioned, lipstick is very easy to apply and is the LEAST time-consuming – you can apply it anywhere.

For directions and use, our recommendation would be to choose a colour that is the closest shade to your natural lip colour. The goal is to enhance and define. We find wearing nude/mauve shades are the best. If you are looking for moisture throughout the day (which is essential for office workers) lip balms are multi-purposeful and a cheap alternative, not only do they remodify chapped lips but you can also find lip balms that offer you a tint that is closer to your natural lip colour.
